The Owner of Sushi Now!, Chef Matisse, resides in his native Northern California. He is a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America. Since graduating Chef Matisse has opened a number of food related businesses that range from street sushi bars to wholesale foods. Sushi Now Restaurants
The Sushi Now! Restaurants were an idea that sushi can be a healthy fastfood. We strived to make great sushi at key locations throughout Santa Cruz, California. Everyday we came up with exciting new flavor combinations at our sushi bars for walk-by customers. Tasty/Quick/Healthy/Fastfood.
Chef Matisse opened the first Sushi Now! in downtown Santa Cruz, California in August of 1999. 4 years and 4 restaurants later, Chef Matisse sold them all to start a new wholesale foods business that delivers sushi, fresh salads and many other items to grocery stores and coffee shops.
